You Are Not Alone!

Helping you find the best information about food allergies, on or off the web.

About

My name is Elizabeth, and I am the mother of two beautiful, wonderful children who happen to have multiple food allergies. In my house, we have no eggs, dairy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, or sesame. None of us eats those foods, and despite all the negativity we have encountered from folks who said we should surely perish without those things, we are very healthy and happy.

I am a librarian, and as is my nature, I tend to seek out huge quantities of information about anything that I find interesting. As you might guess, I find food allergies endlessly interesting.

Since my daughter was born in 2001 and had her first episode of hives at 9 months after tasting cashew butter, I have sought out the most up-to-date, current, interesting and exciting information about all aspects of food allergies. Until recently, I had collected this information in many places- bookmarks on three different computers and/or Delicious.com, favorite books on scraps of paper, allergy organizations on Facebook. I finally got tired of having to go so many places to track down what I consider essential information. And thus was this blog born.

This blog is my central clearinghouse for all things food allergy-related that I feel are worth keeping track of over the long run. If you know of a food-allergy resource that you think is excellent, on the web or off, please give me a heads up at elizabeth.anne.lang@gmail.com.
